When I traveled to Okinawa for the first time 8 years ago, I was fascinated by the locality. It is famous for its tourist aspect as a tropical land, but I was more attracted by its complex history and its unique culture. I strongly wanted to express these landscapes in my own way, in the way.
I captured the landscapes which are somehow lonely but nostalgic, and I add the frame from which I got the inspiration for each picture. The idea of adding a frame came from the structure of clothing.
When I saw clothes with decorative collars and sleeves around the face and body parts, I thought "Why not apply this to illustration? “ Such an experimental feeling that grew on me. It brought me the idea of "Colored Collars".
