Haruna Inagaki 稲垣 晴菜 (b.1996, Japan)
Stop-motion Artist / Graphic Designer / Illustrator
Based in Bergen (Norway) since 2022.
I am a Japanese visual designer based in Bergen, with a master's degree from the KMD - Faculty of Art, Music, and Design at the University of Bergen. My specialization is in creating compelling visual storytelling for audiences of all ages, particularly through film and animation. My artistic practice spans textiles, prints, photography, and illustration, each reflecting my deep passion for visual expression and my dedication to addressing social issues through metaphor and humour. My research is focused on how artistic visual storytelling can positively influence societal perspectives by exploring the background and history of various issues.
I also hold a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy in Arts, Crafts, and Design from Tokyo Gakugei University in Japan. After my bachelor studies, I worked for two years as a teaching assistant for design subjects at an international fashion school called Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo.
